Lady Chatterley’s Lover
What will the British make of French director Pascale Ferran’s film of D H Lawrence’s controversial novel, Lady Chatterley’s Lover? The new film opens in the UK on 24 August. 80 years after he wrote it, this earlier 1927 version, which the author himself described as “so improper that it’ll never be printed,” comes to our screens and bookshelves.
